A Blue Sky regular as Sarah Smith, Sarah’s violin playing has evolved as a result of a bohemian upbringing. She has developed a style that is uniquely fluid and expressive, yet still purely improvised.

As a youngster she was home-schooled, travelling Europe in a caravan with her Mother’s touring Country/Rock band as a back-up singer. This brought her in to contact with some of the best American session musicians touring the European festivals at the time. This was a massive influence, and you can still detect a Country “twang” in her playing. Before her late teens, she had appeared on television all over the continent, won a “Young Performer of the Year” award, and headlined festivals with audiences of 10,000.
