Manon Llwyd has been writing and recording her own music for ………. longer than some of you have been alive, but it is still fresh and new. She has been bringing her latest work into focus during the last year and is throwing together a heady mix of Hammond + Rhodes driven keys, a sparse and funky rhythm section, passionate vocals and ………… a harp. Yes, a harp. The one with loads of strings, not the ones you blow into. It sounds like it should not work, but it does. The blend of textures and feels brought to the mix by different band members makes a heady cocktail of grooves and heartfelt melancholic melodies. Wander over to www.manonllwyd.com to hear a couple of examples and then come in on March the 4th to get the full set.
